Volunteer with One Wish
It isn’t just donations which allow us to transform the lives of dogs in need. We could never do what we do without our amazing team of dedicated volunteers, who give their time to help us.
We are always looking passionate, kind-hearted dogs lovers to join our friendly family of volunteers. Could you donate some of your time and make a difference to our dogs' lives?
Have you ever thought about fostering an unwanted or abandoned dog? Fostering is usually short term (from as little as just a night or two to a few weeks) but long term care (for several months) with specialist fosterers is sometimes also required. We never know who will be arriving on our doorstep from one day to the next, so our foster team needs to be ready and waiting for our new arrivals, and whatever emotional baggage they may be bringing with them.
Or are you a brilliant event organiser? We run fundraising events throughout the year and we would love to build a strong and dynamic team of volunteers to ensure their maximum success. Even if you can only spare a few hours to man one of our stalls, your time would be very much appreciated.
We have a job for absolutely everyone here at the One Wish Dog Foundation. And whatever your skills and talents, they’ll always be very welcome!

Events Organiser
Events are at the heart of One Wish Dog Foundation. They raise vital funds, introduce our mission to new supporters, and help transform the lives of dogs who need us most. As an Events Organiser, you’ll play a key role in bringing our community together whilst making a real, tangible difference for dogs in need.
Physical Donations & Supplies Organiser
Behind every happy, well‑cared‑for One Wisher is a mountain of supplies that need to be organised and delivered at the right time. As our Physical Donations & Supplies Organiser, you’ll play a hugely important behind‑the‑scenes role, ensuring our dogs and foster homes always have what they need to thrive.
Grants Fundraiser
As One Wish Dog Foundation continues to grow, grant funding is becoming an increasingly vital way for us to fund meaningful projects, including our community support schemes that help dogs and their humans when they need it most. As a Grants Fundraiser, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing the funding that allows our work to expand and our impact to deepen.
Community Fundraiser
Community support is the beating heart of the One Wish Dog Foundation and currently our primary source of funding. As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll help turn local kindness into life‑changing support for dogs in need. This is a highly flexible and people‑focused role, perfect for someone who loves building relationships and inspiring others to get involved.
Online Sales Manager
Online selling will be an exciting new income stream for One Wish Dog Foundation, helping us turn donated items into vital funds for dogs in need. As our Online Sales Manager, you’ll take the lead in creating and growing our online shop presence, shaping a fresh, modern fundraising channel from the ground up.
Social Media Manager
Social media is one of One Wish Dog Foundation’s most powerful ways to share our story,help our dogs to find their forever homes, and inspire support. And we know there’s so much more potential to unlock! As our Social Media Manager, you’ll help grow our online presence, connect with supporters, and turn engagement into real impact for dogs in need.
Web Site Manager
Our website is often the first place people discover One Wish Dog Foundation. It tells our story, showcases our impact, finds our dogs their forever homes and encourages supporters to get involved. As our Website Manager, you’ll play a key role in making sure that experience is clear, welcoming, and inspiring.
Research Volunteer - Stay Together Scheme
We’re developing an exciting new community support project designed to prevent dog owners from having to give up their pets due to difficult circumstances. The Stay Together Scheme aims to support local owners so they can keep their dogs where they belong—at home.
To help bring this vision to life, we’re looking for a Volunteer Researcher to play a key role in shaping the foundation of the project.
Frontline Support Volunteers
Join the One Wish Volunteer’s Whatsapp group, where we post ad hoc frontline needs such as transporting dogs to appointments, home checks and helping on our stall at local events. You can dip in and out of this group as much as you want.
