Meet Molly!

Name: Molly
Gender: Female
Age: 4 Years
Breed: JRT X Chi
Size: Small
Molly came into our care after the very sad loss of her owner. Losing the person she loved and finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings was incredibly stressful for this little poppet. Understandably, she arrived frightened, worried and unsure of the world around her.
Thankfully, Molly has been welcomed into a wonderful foster home where she has been given the time, patience and compassion she needed to decompress. As her confidence has grown, we have been lucky enough to see her true personality emerge, and what a personality it is!
Behind that tiny frame is an enormous character, packed full of confidence, comedy and plenty of famous terrier attitude.
A Tiny Dog with a Huge Personality
Molly firmly believes the world revolves around her, and honestly, it's hard to argue with her.
She is a little princess who expects her devoted humans to be available for important duties such as providing tasty treats, throwing her toy, and delivering a steady supply of cuddles and fuss whenever required.
She is endlessly entertaining, incredibly affectionate and full of hilarious quirks. One of her favourite games is stealing the washing and running off with it, checking over her shoulder to make sure you're following along. She also adores her treasured rainbow teddy, which she proudly carries around and presents to anyone willing to join in her games.
As she has settled into foster care, Molly's confidence has blossomed. She now enjoys regular zoomies around the house and garden, and has shown herself to be a playful, cheeky and joyful little dog.
Life with Molly
Molly absolutely loves her people. She is happiest when curled up beside you on the sofa, snoozing nearby, or simply keeping you company throughout the day. She is wonderfully affectionate and would happily spend hours soaking up attention from those she loves.
Although she is devoted to her humans, Molly is also quite independent when needed and can happily be left alone for a few hours during the day or evening. She is fully house trained, sleeps beautifully through the night and happily settles into her crate with a few bedtime treats.
Molly is also a bright little dog who learns quickly. While many dogs are motivated by food, Molly prefers to do things on her own terms and can be fussy about treats. She knows exactly what she likes and isn't afraid to let you know about it!
Exploring the World
We believe Molly may have lived a somewhat sheltered life before coming into rescue. She can feel nervous in busy environments and is sensitive to unfamiliar sounds and fast movements. However, with gentle encouragement and reassurance, she quickly gains confidence and is learning that new experiences don't have to be scary.
What Molly truly loves is escaping the crowds and enjoying the countryside. She thrives on long walks through quiet fields, woodland paths and rural trails where she can explore at her own pace. Despite being small in stature, she has plenty of energy and will need an active family who can provide regular adventures (at least an hour's walk every day) and enrichment.
Busy high streets, dog-friendly cafés and bustling pub gardens are not Molly's idea of fun. She would much rather enjoy her countryside walk and then relax at home while her humans head off to social events.
Molly's Ideal Home
The one area where Molly currently struggles is around other dogs. She is clearly fearful of them and will bark when she sees dogs out and about. While her confidence may continue to improve with careful support, Molly is telling us very clearly that she would prefer not to share her home with other animals. For this reason, she is looking for a pet-free home where she can be the centre of attention.
Molly is seeking:
-
A calm, loving household
-
Owners who appreciate a typical cheeky terrier personality
-
An active family who enjoy long, countryside adventures
-
A home with teenagers or adults
-
No dogs, cats or small animals
-
People who understand that confidence-building takes time
