Online Sales Manager

What You’ll Do 

​

• Research and recommend the best online selling strategy for the charity, identifying suitable platforms such as eBay, Vinted, or similar. 

• Sort and assess donated items to identify those which are suited for online sale. 

• Create compelling, accurate product listings, including writing descriptions and taking high‑quality photographs that attract buyers. 

• Manage order fulfilment, packing and posting items promptly and professionally. 

• Maintain the charity’s seller accounts, handling customer enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring great buyer experiences. 

• Track and monitor sales performance, feeding back insights and suggestions to help maximise income. 

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

No prior charity retail experience is required - support will be available. But this role would suit someone with: 

​

• Experience or interest in online selling, reselling, or e‑commerce 

• An eye for detail and a good sense of value and presentation 

• Basic photography skills (even using a smartphone) 

• Confidence writing clear, accurate, and appealing product descriptions 

• Good organisation and time‑management skills 

• Reliability and a sense of responsibility when handling stock  

• Familiarity with platforms such as eBay, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, or similar 

• A proactive mindset and willingness to suggest improvements 

• A genuine passion for supporting dogs and animal welfare
