Meet Jeff!

Jeff is a beautiful three-year-old Labrador who came into our care after his family made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender him due to his severe anxiety. Jeff has always been a sensitive and anxious boy. Living in a busy household with lots of noise, activity and constant comings and goings became increasingly overwhelming for him. Recognising that his wellbeing was suffering, his family made the heart-breaking decision to give him the opportunity to find a home better suited to his needs.

 

Now in foster care, Jeff is looking for a special family who can offer him the calm, understanding environment he needs to truly flourish.

What Jeff Needs

​

Jeff thrives in a peaceful setting. A quiet home with predictable routines helps him feel safe and secure, whereas busy households can leave him feeling overwhelmed and stressed.

​

While he may seem initially reserved when meeting new people, those who take the time to earn his trust are rewarded with the most loving, affectionate and devoted companion. Jeff forms incredibly strong bonds, but he needs patience and understanding while those relationships develop.

​

His future family should expect that building a connection with Jeff will take time. To help him feel comfortable and secure, several visits to his foster home in Oxfordshire will be required before adoption.

Once Jeff feels safe and settled, his playful and joyful personality begins to shine through.

​

He absolutely loves exploring the great outdoors and enjoys getting out on walks and adventures where he can sniff, run around and enjoy the world at his own pace. At home, he's fun-loving, playful and happiest when spending quality time with the people he loves.

​

One of Jeff's greatest sources of confidence is other dogs. He truly thrives in canine company, and we would love to find him a home with a well-mannered, similar-sized resident dog who can help him feel more secure and show him the ropes.

• An adult-only home, although sensible teenage children and older may be considered

• No cats or small furries

• A family willing to invest time in building trust and helping him settle

What Jeff needs most is compassion, patience and a commitment to supporting him as he learns that the world can be a safe and happy place.
