This very special boy came into our care from the pound. Our vet believes that he is around 3 years old and he's a Greyhound X Staffie. However old he is and whatever breed he is, we're struggling to put into words just how wonderful he is!

A gentle boy, Spud has been amazing with every person and dog we have introduced him to. He has his lively Greyhound moments but once he has burnt off all that energy, he loves nothing more than cuddling his foster parents and snoozing the afternoon away on the sofa. Put simply, he's a perfect dog and an absolute dream to look after.

Our vet confirmed that the scars all over Spud's body are not from fleas like we initially suspected. Sadly, they were sustained through multiple injuries. It's more than likely that he was relentlessly attacked over a long period of time before he came to us.

We dread to think of the horrors he was put through. What makes Spud so incredibly special is the fact that he still manages to find it in himself to love everyone he meets (two-legged and four-legged). To have that faith despite enduring unthinkable traumas is a testament to his amazing spirit. We're in awe of him.

Spud is otherwise in good health. He needs to put on some weight and the tail injury he arrived with is healing nicely. He needs a dental which we will be arranging soon and he will of course also be neutered whilst he's with us. He will also be fully vaccinated and flea/wormed before he trots off to his happy ever after.

We're very happy to consider a home with other dogs and/or children over 10 years old. Due to his Sighthound breed traits, he's likely to have a high prey drive so we cannot rehome him to a family with cats or small furries.
