Stay Together Scheme
Help keep people and their dogs together
We’re developing an exciting new community support project designed to prevent dog owners from having to give up their pets due to difficult circumstances. The Stay Together Scheme aims to support local owners so they can keep their dogs where they belong—at home.
To help bring this vision to life, we’re looking for a Volunteer Researcher to play a key role in shaping the foundation of the project.
About the Role
You’ll help us build a clear picture of the support already available to dog owners in the local area. This includes identifying services provided by:

Local authorities

Community organisations
-
Animal welfare charities
-
Other relevant support networks
You’ll explore questions such as:

What support is currently available?
-
How effective are these services?
-
Where are the gaps or unmet needs?

Could existing organisations benefit from additional support?
Your findings will directly inform how we design and deliver the Stay Together Scheme, ensuring we make the biggest possible impact where it’s needed most.
What You’ll Do

Conduct online research into local services and initiatives

Connect with organisations via phone, Teams, or in-person meetings

Gather insights and feedback from stakeholders

Help identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement

No prior experience is necessary. We’ll provide guidance, a clear framework, and ongoing support.
